Gathering the 24 world’ best teams, the Counter-Strike tournament lived up to its promises regarding level of play and entertainment. As usual, the Swedes of Fnatic reached the finals by rolling over most of their opponents. However, just like they did in 2006 here in Bercy, Fnatic failed to confirm their amazing tournament and lost the final game against team mTw from Denmark.

WARCRAFT 3
In the Warcraft 3 tournament, South Korea has been shining once again as MYM]Moon, the big favourite of the tournament, delivered the games the crowd was expecting. Defeating top players such as Sky, whO and ReiGn, Moon managed to get his very first qualification for the ESWC world finals of San Jose. He will be able to compete for his first world title starting August 25th, in California.

QUAKE 3
The ESWC masters also marked the return of the game that started it all: Quake 3. That extremely famous game hasn’t aged at all and todays’ talents showed no mercy against yesterday’s legends. Eventually the youth triumphed over the experience as the 17 years old, fnatic\cypher, crushed his long time in-game mentor “Fojji”. A tremendous final!

XenoGeaR, the defending champion of the tournament almost made it again. But his flawless races were not enough against the French driver “Lign” who ranked third during the last ESWC.
