Earlier this day, an other South-Korean player made himself a name as Du Seop 'WhO' Chang managed to win the 3rd Korean World title on Warcraft in a row, the 4th since the beginning of the ESWC in 2003. Du Seop Chang was far from being a favourite in this final as his opponent, Li 'Sky' Xiaofeng, defeated him in every encounter they previously had in official tournaments.
There were no South-Koreans in the Quake 3 final but the young prodigy Alexei 'Cypher' Yanyshevsky dominated his German opponent in 2 straight maps. Cypher has been dominating the Quake 3 proscene for quite some time now and it's getting harder and harder for the old-timers to catch-up with his amazing level of play.
Eventually, at 10pm (GMT -08:00), the Counter-Strike final began in the San Jose McEnery Convention Center. The defending champions from PGS.MYM faced off against the Korean team from eStro. All three maps of this tremendous final ended with a less than 3 points difference. In the end, the Polish players just had the momemtum they needed to seal their second ESWC victory in a row.
