ESWC and Inwi announce ESWC Africa December 16 in Casablanca
ESWC and Inwi, Morocco's leading telephone operator, are pleased to announce the organization of ESWC Africa 2018. This esport event will be held on 16 December 2018 in Casablanca at the Le Studio Des Arts Vivants auditorium. It will bring together the four best African teams of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. They will challenge each other for a day in front of the Moroccan public to win the title of champion and part of the 15,000 dollars put into play! Inwi is continuing its strong support for the development of esport in Morocco and Africa through ESWC Africa.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE IN THE TOURNAMENT?
The ESWC Africa will gather the 4 best african teams in Casablanca. The 4 slots of the final will be split through the following countries and qualifiers:
- One slot for the Moroccan national qualifier
- Three slots for the African open qualifier
Moroccan national qualifier:
The Moroccan national qualifier will be opened to 16 teams. They will play in a single elimination bracket with match in best-of-three format.
African qualifications:
For this first edition of ESWC Africa, the following countries will be able to participate in the qualifications:
- Algeria
- Egypt
- Ivory Coast
- Nigeria
- Senegal
- Tunisia
A national qualification on internet will be organized for each of these six countries to determine who will play the African qualifying final.
Each of these national qualifications will be open to sixteen teams. The format of the qualification will be the same as the Moroccan final. The winners of each of these six qualifications will finally meet to compete in a final stage to determine the three teams that will fly to Casablanca.

The qualifications of ESWC Africa and its final will be according to the following schedule:
November 17/18
Organization of the six national qualifications:
- Algeria: open registration
- Egypt: open registration
- Ivory Coast: open registration
- Nigeria: open registration
- Senegal: open registration
- Tunisia: open registration
November 24/25
- Organization of the Moroccan national qualification: open registration
- Final stage of the African qualifiers between the six teams having won their national qualification.
December 16
Organization of the final ESWC Africa with the four finalist teams.
HOW TO ATTEND THE FINAL?
The ESWC Africa with Inwi will be the occasion of a day devoted to the esport at the theater Le Studio Des Arts Vivants of Casablanca. Entrance for visitors will be free! The final will be played on the stage of the 600-seat amphitheater and will be broadcast on the internet in both French and Arabic.
In addition to the final between the four finalists, other surprises await visitors on December 16 and will be announced soon.
