PGW OPEN finals will gather 16 French teams on Counter-Strike:Global Offensive during the Paris Games Week show. Teams will battle it out for the $15,000 cash prize after 5 days of competition in same conditions of play as international tournaments (dedicated area, PC provided, matches on the main stage, online streaming etc).
Eight of the 16 teams were selected through more than 40 applications received. The eight other slots will be awarded after the online qualifiers organized by our partners CEVO and Masters des Jeux Vidéo.
PGW OPEN CS:GO Finals
PGW OPEN finals will be held during 5 days and will be played exclusively in best-of-three match format. Teams will be allowed to warmup on 27th October after their check-in.
- Round-robin: 4 pools of 4 teams (2 first qualified for next step)
- Playoff : Single elimination bracket
- All matches played in best-of-three
- 27/10: Check-in and warmup
- 28/10: Round-robin
- 29/10: Round-robin
- 30/10: Quater-finals
- 31/10: Semi-finals
- 01/11: Final and 3rd-place match
Eight teams were selected for PGW OPEN through an application form accounting for their recent results in tournaments and motivation:
- LDLC White
- Melty eSports Club
- LDLC Blue
- Red Instinct
- Team ACER
- Melty eSports Women
Two slots have been reserved for two women's teams, so as to highlight the development of women esports in France and reward organizations for professionalization efforts.
But don't worry as all other teams have a chance to participate since online qualifiers will determine the eight last teams of PGW OPEN. Four of these slots will be granted during two cups organized by our partner CEVO. The four last slots will be on the line during two other cups managed by Masters des Jeux Vidéo.
